BA, MA, PhD in English Language and Literature (University of Granada, 1972; University of Málaga, 1978; University of Málaga, 1992)

Antonio Miranda-García has been an associate Professor (CEU) at the University of Málaga since 1994, where has taught History of the English Language (an introductory course for undergraduates, Faculty of Arts), Technical English (undergraduate, School of Engineering), and a post-graduate course entitled Electronic Resources for Linguistic Research (Official Master number 701202 – "Traducción, Mediación Cultural e Interpretación"). Before that date, Prof. Miranda taught English in Secondary Education (Prof. Agregado and Catedrático de Bachillerato) and coordinated several research projects funded by the Junta de Andalucía until he became a tenured lecturer (TEU) at Malaga University in 1990.

He has also coordinated the research group HUM 497 funded by Junta of Andalucía since 1996 and is the research leader of three projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology (BFF 2001/1835, HUM2004/01075FILO, FFI2008/02336FILO) one excellence project funded by Consejería de Innovación de la Junta de Andalucía (P09-HUM-4790).

His research interests are Vocabulary Acquisition, ESP, Historical Linguistics, and Authorship Attribution studies.
